Serves 6
Ingredients
| 3 lbs | Ground Beef (6 - 1/2 lb patties) |
6 tbsp |
Melted Butter |
6 |
Oso Sweet Onions (Large, peeled & quartered) |
| 12 | Medium Potatoes (bite size cubes w/ skin) |
| 3 tsp | Seasoning Salt |
| 3 tsp | Cracked Black Pepper |
| 1 pkg | Ranch Dressing |
| 6 | 20" strips of tin foil |
Preparation
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F.
Place one beef pattie on center of each of the 6 foil strips.
Place cubed potatoes around the beef pattie on foil, dividing them into approximately two potatoes per foil strip.
Place one of the quartered onions around each pattie on the foil.
Pour 1 tablespoon of the melted butter per foil on top of potatoes/beef pattie/onions.
Evenly sprinkle the seasoning salt, cracked black pepper, and ranch on the top of the 6 pattie saks.
Bunch them up with the foil to seal at the top and so potatoes and onions crop on top around beef pattie snugly. Will look like a hobo sack.
Bake in the 350 degree F oven for one hour and 15 minutes.
These are so easy to transport and heat up on a grill when already cooked or actually cook on grill from raw. They are a one dish meal, your meat, potato and a wonderful Oso Sweet onion vegetable, making it an easy and wonderful picnic affair and no clean up whether eating out or at home. No dish necessary! Eating out of the foil is 1/2 the fun!
